FAQ’s

Q. “Do you allow more than one tent per site?” “Can we setup a tent on the same site as our travel trailer or next to our cabin?”

A. We only allow “one” tent or camping unit per site. You are allowed 1 Large & 1 Small Pup-Size Tent on the same site. If you setup 2 Large (4-person) sleeping tents or larger on the same site, we will ask you to take it down and get another site. We do NOT allow tents to be put up on the same site as the cabin. We can find you another site closest to the cabin depending on the camping unit. Additional guests have the option to sleep in your camping unit with you, but we will charge for any extra adults (more than 2) staying on the same site. The rate includes up to 2 adults (18 years and older) and up to 4 children (17 years and younger). We charge $20.00 per adult per night for each additional guest 18 years of age or older. Or we charge $10.00 per adult per day but they have to leave the park by 10:00pm. If you don’t prepay for your additional guests, the guard will direct them to the registration office to pay the visitor fees and register their vehicle to receive a parking pass. It doesn’t matter if they’re only staying for 5 minutes or an hour, or if they’re your adult children, they MUST pay the extra adult/ visitor fees. Any unregistered guests are trespassing and will be evicted immediately.

Q. “I would like to reserve 8 sites for my group.”

A. Sorry, but because large groups tend to ignore our 10:00pm quiet time, we only allow a maximum of up to 6 sites in a group. Each site can only have up to 2 adults and 4 children, and only a maximum of 4 adults on each site. The rate includes up to 2 adults and 4 children. Any additional adults staying on the same site (18 years and older) are charged $20.00 per adult per night and must register their vehicle. Each family must be registered separately and their site of record should be accurate. Each site holder must also check-in before occupying the site. When making reservations for a group, you MUST have all names, addresses, phone numbers, and number of adults/ children, for each site. Full payment with a credit card over the phone is required for each site you reserve. Please see our deposits/refunds page for more information. Please be sure everyone in your group is aware of our 10:00pm quiet time and rules.

Q. “What is your late check-in policy?”

A. Please call the office at 262-857-7373- they will address your situation and give you instructions at that time. Typically we try to call everyone an hour before we close the office to see if they’re on their way and we’ll give late check-in instructions at that time if needed. We will either leave the paperwork in our outside corkboard (hanging up on the left of the front office doors) or with the security guard.

Q. “What is the Check-in & Check-Out time?

A. Check-in time is 1:00pm and Check-Out time is 12:00pm Noon.

Q. “We can’t get there before 10PM on Friday, so we would like to check in around 9AM on Saturday”

A. Our check-in time is 1:00pm. You may arrive earlier if your site is available, but you will be charged $10.00 per hour early check-in fee for each hour you are early. Our staffing is geared to the 1:00pm arrival time so the charge is to help discourage early arrivals.

Q. “My wife and the kids will be arriving earlier than me and I’ll be coming later in a separate vehicle, is there any issue having a second vehicle?”

A. Not at all. The rate includes up to two passenger/tow vehicles, and one camping unit. Additional vehicle or cargo trailers may be charged $10.00 per day. Please try to arrive before our 10:00PM quiet time, and drive quietly through the park. You are still required to check-in at the office and obtain your registered parking pass.

Q. “Are alcoholic beverages permitted? Do you sell beer in your store?”

A. Legal intoxicants are permitted throughout the grounds, but we do not sell it in our store as we do not have a license to sell beer or cigarettes. It is up to the campsite patron to control his/her campers behavior. We will not tolerate loud, lewd, or otherwise foul behavior. The legal drinking age in Wisconsin is 21 and that’s why we don’t allow anyone under that age to reserve a campsite.

Q. “What do you have available in your Kamp Store?”

A. We have a Cafe/Concessions area offering hot coffee at 9:00am daily, hot foods such as hamburgers, hot dogs, pizza (which we can cook for you), nachos, fries, mini tacos and more-  copy of full menu available in the store. We also sell firewood, bagged ice, batteries, charcoal,  lighter fluid, and other miscellaneous items. There’s a large selection of ice cream, soft drinks, and candy. We also stock a number of grocery items, toiletries, an assortment of clothing, beach toys, RV supplies, kids toys, gifts, and souvenirs.

If you experience a problem with a neighboring camper or have any problems with violations of these rules, please don’t hesitate to bring it to the attention of any staff members. Your anonymity will be protected. After-hour problems should be reported by phone to the campground number 262-857-7373 or “flag down” the security patrolman.
